The ITB Berlin tourism fair 2014 is here. This is an international event where the world’s tourism potentials are showcased. The event involves press conferences, product presentations, receptions and client meetings. It brings together stake holders and systems that play in the world tourism arena. Exhibitors are welcome to embellish their customers with the most beautiful attractions in their respective areas of operation in bid to strike lucrative business partnerships.
The exhibition has always lived up to its billing as the ultimate platform for tourism and travel knowledge, insights, information and business partnerships. The venue for last year’s ITB exhibition in Berlin was a massive 160000 m² of space where exhibitors representing over 10100 companies took part. The fair attracted over 170000 visitors where by 65% were trade visitors. This year’s event promises to be even greater and better. The ITB convention has partnered with Mexico as the official country partner of the event. Mexico is recognized as a worldwide tourism hub with a combination of natural features, historic features, cultures, art and modern day touristic attractions.
Uganda will also exhibit at the ITB Berlin 2014 as it has always done in the previous years. Courtesy of the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), Association of Uganda tour operators and Brussels airlines: stake holders and different tour operators will exhibit in Berlin. Speke Uganda holidays has been a regular exhibitor at the ITB Berlin fairs and will participate this year too. The company will be represented by the managing director Mr. Tony Mulinde and the European marketing manager Mr. Michael Jakob. Our team will be exhibiting from the 5th – 9th March 2014 in Hall 21.A stand number 116 where they will present tour and travel packages to Uganda and Rwanda as well as meeting tour agents and potential clients. They will also be attending to visitors and responding to their questions.
