On 16th March 2018, Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC) welcomed a 3-year-old female cheetah through the conservation animal exchange program with Mystic and Feathers facility, South Africa. On 12th March 2018,  a group from International Gorilla Conservation Program entered Bwindi Impenetrable forest to start the census of the Mountain Gorillas in the forest. This follows a gorilla baby boom witnessed in Uganda in 2017. With just an estimated 880 Gorillas left in the wild in recent research findings. It seems that there is hope for these gentle giants surviving after all.
